Background
I have a degree in Dutch Language and Literature from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest, the capital of my home country. One question I’m often asked since moving to the Netherlands in 2012 is: Why would someone choose to study Dutch in Hungary?
Well, I’ve always been fascinated by languages from all over the world, so choosing to study one was an easy decision. But why Dutch? My answer is always the same: I wanted to learn a language that was both challenging and exciting—Dutch turned out to be the perfect choice!
Approach
For me, teaching is more than just sharing knowledge; it’s about creating a safe and comfortable space where students can grow in confidence. Learning a new language can feel intimidating, so I strive to make my lessons engaging, supportive, and adapted to each individual. Everyone learns differently, and my goal is to help students reach their personal language goals in a way that suits their pace, level, and personality.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students from a wide range of backgrounds and proficiency levels—from absolute beginners to advanced learners, from expats adjusting to life in the Netherlands to professionals preparing for exams or job opportunities. I love this variety; every student brings a unique perspective, and it makes my work exciting and fulfilling. No two lessons are ever the same, and that’s exactly what keeps me motivated!
